A community service for Hollywood professionals

Hollywood is going back to work --now!

This new site is dedicated to bringing together the people who make Hollywood Now!  -- actors, writers, editors, musicians, wannabees and seasoned professionals!

We want to bring you together for open mixers because everybody benefits when we work together to work in Hollywood.

Our plan is for quarterly social gatherings with a catered buffet, beverages, and live music.  You set the agenda!

Next Public Event is postponed until Fall, 2008 dueto lack of funds!

What's your role in Hollywood? Do you have a screenplay? Are you an actress? Did you just come to town? Stuck on a "reality" gig that's unreal? You need to network! You can do it!

Yes, we know that these things go on all the time in other places.  But did they invite you?  This is a chance for the rest of us to make contacts, rub shoulders, meet some real friends and go to work in Hollywood.

Q&A

Who's behind this?

We know a lot of industry folks at Hollywood Lutheran Church, including some of our own members. But this is not a religious thing.   We just want to be useful in the larger community, to help professionals engaged in the entertainment field to network, find continuous work, and to be creative.

What's the cost?

The first mixer was re-scheduled for early March 2008.  See Calendar.  It is freeAfter that, there may be a nominal cost ($5?) to partly cover food and beverages.

In the meantime we're looking for some sponsorships to cover costs. We think everybody should profit, but nobody should be exploited.

Can I bring my industry friends?

Absolutely!  Invite anybody who's working in, or trying to work in the Hollywood industry.  Just ask them to contact us directly to RSVP.

(This may not include your worthless former friend who is still sleeping on your sofa!  We want to meet people who WANT TO WORK or ARE WORKING in Hollywood.)

Who do we contact?
